Do You Have Clients without Health Plans?

Your Clients Have Just 30 Days to Take Advantage of the Small Group Special Enrollment Period with Zero Participation Requirements.

It’s true. There is a 30-day period from November 15th through December 15th whereby small businesses with less than 100 employees can enroll in a group health plan with two important distinctions:

  1. Your clients can have as little as ONE EMPLOYEE enroll to initiate your plan

  2. Your clients will not have to contribute to the plan premiums, so they can deploy their new plan WITHOUT ANY COSTS

There are no limitations to the group plans your clients can access in order to give their employees group health insurance. And these plans are the same as any other plan in terms of pre-tax payroll deductions to pay for premiums, and access to whatever physicians and hospital networks are part of any typical group coverage.

This is the only time of the year when insurance carriers cannot impose participation requirements. If a company enrolls at any other time of the year, the carrier can impose participation requirements as high as 60% and also require minimum contributions.

Why is this being offered?

It is part of the Affordable Care Act designed to motivate employers to provide health insurance to their employees.

That’s why it is critical that you alert your clients about this Special Enrollment Period.

How BE Group’s Employee Health Benefits Consultants Help Accountants Become True Trusted Advisors

53% strongly agree that you are a trusted advisor, but that rises to 88%… if you offered the right services.

Are you truly thought of as a trusted advisor by your clients? 86% of small business owners agree their accountant is a trusted advisor, yet only 53% strongly agree. But when an accountant offers the right level of service, as many as 88% of small business owners strongly agree they are trusted advisors.

According to an industry-wide survey from CPA Practice Advisor, HR services are one of the best ways that accountants can become invaluable to their clients. Not only does the average SMB spend 40+ hours on HR and payroll related processes instead of more growth-oriented activities, but less than 50% expressed confidence they are doing a good job in handling their HR.

That’s where BE Group can be a critical tool by understanding the needs of accountants and their clients. We can help provide objective and thoughtful PEO and benefits solutions that will help your clients while saving significant costs… ensuring your status as a true and valuable trusted advisor.
